Brewerytown Welcomes Two New Murals!

What's happening on the sidewalk in Brewerytown? You may have noticed the first two murals in our growing Girard Avenue Walking Art Gallery! 

Outside of Herbology at 2610 W Girard you'll find a floral mural from Casey Saccomanno. Casey is a local textile designer, watercolor artist, and muralist, who draws inspiration from nature’s beauty for her work. Her Girard Ave project features wildflowers native to the Philadelphia area.

Girard and W College Avenues in front of Koa Strength Athletic Club

On the corner of Girard and W College Avenues in front of Koa Strength Athletic Club, you’ll find Iris Bonner’s mural, “Own Your Power.” Iris shared that all of her work is rooted in empowerment. “I aim to inspire hope and resilience through a visual narrative that celebrates strength. This piece will be a reminder that we all possess the power to shape our identities and overcome challenges.”
