Next Up: Girard Ave Street Fest!
We are two weeks away from Girard Avenue Street Festival 11am-5:30pm on Saturday, May 17 between 29th Street and College Ave in Brewerytown. This year's edition features two stages with live music, a beer garden, games for kids, and 100+ vendors and local businesses.
We need help from volunteers to pull this off - sign-up at this link to help with morning-of setup - the first 20 to register receive a festival t-shirt.

Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site is kicking off their new Wednesday Night program next week, May 7 from 5:30-9:30pm - an after hours opportunity to talk with civic leaders, compete in trivia, and discover how to become more involved in your community.

It's National Small Business Month too. Celebrate with the 13 local businesses recently honored on the Philadelphia Inquirer's 2025 Philly Favorites list

Lemon Hill is hosting the Grassstains Psychedelic Stoop Fest on Saturday, May 10 from 1-8pm; click here for more information.
May 10-18 is Love Your Park Week - find a local site at this link and meet up with neighbors to show your favorite neighborhood park some love!
Bache Martin sixth annual Bache in Bloom fundraiser and family fun night is Thursday, May 15, from 4-7pm. It's free and open to all, but you can support Bache in Bloom by donating to the Grade/Block Challenge or signing up as a sponsor.

We have just entered National Bike Month and live in Philadelphia's best neighborhood for biking! Visit the Bicycle Coalition web site for all the opportunities to explore the city on two wheels.
Lastly, spring is the best time to request a FREE street tree from PHS or Parks & Rec - help make our community cleaner, greener, safer, more shaded, walkable and welcoming.
