October is a big month for local events! Halloween Nights are back at Eastern State, and this Saturday morning October 4 is the CoreFitness Breakout Race, 5k, two-mile walk, and kids’ run at 22nd and Brown - benefitting Friends of Eastern State Penitentiary Park. There’s lots more coming up:

We’re in the midst of Philadelphia’s “Week Without Driving,” and October 8 is National Walk & Roll to School Day! Did you know?

  • 12.8% of our community’s commuters walk to work;

  • nearly 5% bike, 9% take transit, and 21% work from home.

We use stats like this - and your input - to shape our plans and projects. Make sure you've responded to our 2025 Community Survey by October 10 to keep impacting how the neighborhood improves.
