Across 2026, Park to Broad is celebrating different ways to share local love with our community businesses. April is Arts Month! We will be spotlighting arts-based businesses, and art in businesses, culminating with Fairmount Arts Crawl on Sunday, April 26 - featuring vendors, music, food and family activities from 12-4pm at 23rd and Fairmount Avenue, plus art in businesses across the neighborhood!

Farewell to Bookhaven
We want to call attention to one particularly unique business. Bookhaven announced their closure last week, due to a health emergency, after nearly 40 years on Fairmount Avenue. I recommend The Inquirer article at this link for more on the beloved bookstore that Rolf and Ricci Andeer first created in 1987! We are grateful for and thinking of them and their family.
Neighborhood Cleanups

There are many opportunities to contribute to and create community yourself this April:
Check out local Philly Spring Cleanup projects to volunteer at on April 11.
Lemon Hill Neighbors have several volunteer days planned as well.
Follow Park to Broad’s Instagram account for more opportunities, shared daily on our story page.
Important Updates
We have received helpful feedback regarding our work around nuisance businesses in the community, and plans to help neighbors prepare for major 2026 events. Keep sending your questions and suggestions - we will have more updates to share shortly.
