Bar Hygge/ Brewery Techne has been a neighborhood restaurant/bar/brewery since 2016 -- this year we celebrate 10 years!

Brewery Techne is a 10-barrel craft brewery dedicated to the art and science of brewing exceptional beer. Our passion for brewing drives us to create a diverse range of flavorful, innovative beers that cater to all palates.

Bar Hygge was named in "Chowhound" as Pennsylvania's "Hands Down Best Burger In Every Single US State", so we encourage anyone who hasn't had a Hygge Burger to get over here and try one!

We are open Tuesday thru Sunday, with Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm throughout the week. We also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays!

What was your inspiration for opening the business?

At Bar Hygge and Brewery Techne, we are committed to sustainability in every aspect of our business—from the ingredients we source to the materials we use in our space. Together, we can enjoy great food, drinks, and company while making a positive impact on the planet.

Owners Stew & Julie Keener, Tom Baker, and Peggy Zwerver, along with GM Jackie Fricker, have poured their heart and souls into creating a space that is warm and welcoming to every single guest who enters through the doors. With a name like "Hygge" we want to create a memorable experience every time with genuine connection and cozy vibes!
