This is a big weekend for Philadelphia and the Park to Broad neighborhoods have all you need to make the most of it! Community safety is crucial to enjoying your holiday weekend so please review the city's Heat Health Emergency resources and check on older friends, relatives, and neighbors. 


Where to Watch the World Cup

FIFA Fan Fest at Lemon Hill has modified their hours due to the heat but our Where to Watch guide has you covered. Enjoy World Cup matches (and air conditioning) at 15 local restaurants and bars in Brewerytown, Fairmount, Francisville, and Spring Garden. 

July 4 Concert


The July 4th One Philly: Unity Concert for America is a free six-hour concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Gates open at 3pm, Concert begins at 5pm, Fireworks begin at 11:30pm.  Follow @parktobroad on Instagram and check in with your favorite business to see their holiday hours and specials.

Even if you're out of town this weekend, there are plenty of ways to support our small business community!

  1. Leave a review! Bonus points if you include a picture to make your review more visible.

  2. Buy a gift card for yourself or a friend. This goes a long way during the traditionally slower summer months and is a nice reward for your future self! 

  3. Recommend a local business to a friend and make a plan to go together when you're back in town. 



The Big Boy is rolling through our neighborhood


One of the world's largest steam locomotives is making its way to the Navy Yard, passing under Girard Avenue on its journey through Philadelphia. Train fans are planning watch parties along the Schuylkill Trail for a chance to catch it in action.


After passing through the neighborhood, the Big Boy will be on display at the Navy Yard at Intrepid Avenue and League Island Boulevard on Saturday from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.  Admission is free, making it a fun Fourth of July weekend activity for the whole family.
