Tuesday, September 15 is the last day to buy early-bird tickets for Taste of Fairmount, our neighborhood celebration, restaurant showcase, and annual fundraiser!
Last year’s event crowned six winning restaurants while supporting our new Small Business Fund grant program - read about the impact these grants are making - and purchase discount tickets for November 19 while they are still available!

Queen & Rook is taking over the old Thirsty Dice space, Muse Yoga & Fitness will open a second location at 2737 W Girard, Cantina La Martina just had their grand opening at Human Robot on Girard, while Twisted Grounds is celebrating their 3rd birthday later this month at 20th and Spring Garden.

Apple Festival and Pawpaw Palooza hosted by Philadelphia Orchard Project, Woodford Mansion, and Fair Amount Food Forest in East Park
Before the weekend - Friday, September 18 - the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as The Yard on 33rd Street, are celebrating John Coltrane’s 100th birthday with special performances. On Sunday, September 20 don’t miss Rooted in Community art-making at Brewerytown Garden with Ebony Bennett. And last, this year’s North Philadelphia History Festival, September 25-27, will explore the creative and spiritual legacy of John Coltrane as well, with free events led by Philadelphia-based artists, historians, filmmakers.
